  • A data analyst is responsible for collecting, processing, and performing statistical analysis on large datasets. 
  • They interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports to help companies make informed business decisions.
  •  Their key responsibilities include cleaning and organizing raw data into usable formats, identifying trends and patterns, and ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Data analysts also work with databases, tools like SQL or Excel, and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create reports and dashboards that communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. 
  • They collaborate with other departments to understand their data needs and help in making data-driven decisions. 
  • They may also be involved in setting up and maintaining automated data collection systems and ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards.
  • A strong attention to detail, proficiency in data analysis tools, and a good understanding of data visualization techniques are essential skills for this role.

 

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, or Google Sheets
  •  Strong understanding of statistics and data analysis techniques
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Stata)
  • Ability to clean, organize, and manipulate large datasets
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for data analysis
  • Knowledge of databases and data management (SQL, NoSQL)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting data insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work with large datasets and manage multiple projects
  • Understanding of business processes and how data can improve decision-making
  • Knowledge of data privacy laws and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR)
  • Bachelor's degree in (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, or a related field) orMaster’s degree  in Data Science, Analytics, Business Analytics, or related fields.
  • Certification in data analysis tools or methodologies (e.g., Google Data Analytics, Microsoft Excel, SQL, or Python for Data Analysis)
